Rage and uproar has been caused in U.K. because of a certain television ad that aired on the 24th of March. The two parties who are involved in this conflict are the MSI (Marie Stopes International) and the anti-abortion groups backed up by the Roman Catholic Church. MSI sees it of vital importance that more citizens of the U.K. are made aware of where and how they are able to find more information regarding unplanned pregnancies before it is to late to take any actions, while The Roman Catholic Church keeps exclaiming that 'abortion is not a consumer service, and should thereby have no right to be aired as an ad on television.
In my personal opinion I have to say that I think there's nothing wrong when it comes to information about matters as these. If what MSI says is really true, citizens of the UK should be made more aware of their options. Of course I do believe that a woman carries responsibility over the life that grows in her, yet this does not mean that I do not believe in reasons that justify an abortion. Rape or mental/physical disabilities can be an example of these justifications. the situation however changes when two people have had unprotected intercourse willingly. In this case I do believe that responsibility should be taken for the life that has been made.
